How Is OxnaPDF Free?
No adverts, no paid plan, no selling of data. Here is how that works.
What It Costs Us, and Why That Is Small
- No engineering team. OxnaPDF is designed and built by its developer, Dr Fatih Kansoy, working with AI coding tools. There are no salaries to pay back.
- No licence fees. The PDF engine is our own. The few other parts OxnaPDF uses come under free licences, so there are no fees to pass on.
- Your AI, your plan. When you use ChatGPT or Claude in OxnaPDF, you use your own account and your own plan. We pay nothing for that.
- Local AI costs nothing. It runs on your computer.
- We pay for hosting. The website, the downloads and OxnaAI run on Cloudflare. OxnaAI has a fair daily allowance, so that cost stays manageable.
Why We Do It
OxnaPDF is a non-profit project. Dr Fatih Kansoy runs it through his company, Kansoy Ltd, which covers the running costs and does not seek to make money from it. We want a PDF reader that is fast, private and genuinely useful, and free for everyone.
With Thanks
OxnaPDF was built with the help of Google Antigravity. Dr Kansoy uses it through Google's Antigravity for Science programme, which gives researchers free access to its highest usage tier and its most advanced Gemini model. We are grateful for that support.
